Eagles-Commanders: The reasons why it is this year’s preferred NFC East primetime game

As NFC East rivals go, the Eagles and Washington Commanders mostly haven’t been one. This will be the 90th straight year they’ve gone against each other, starting with Thursday night’s first-place showdown at Lincoln Financial Field, and in only 11 of those seasons have both teams had a winning record.
You could argue that it’s really only 10 because the first time both teams had a winning record in the same season was 1943 when the Eagles and Steelers teamed up to become the Steagles during the middle of World War II.
